Double-sided turban towel for gentle hair drying: one side is natural Mulberry silk, the other is microfiber. Both sides can be used.

The cuticle (scale layer) is the outer semi-transparent layer of the hair strand and its protection against the environment. It is the condition of the cuticle that determines hair shine and texture. A healthy cuticle reflects light and allows hair strands to glide smoothly over each other.

Curly hair has cuticle scales that are always raised at the curl point and cannot lie flat against each other, which is why curly hair constantly suffers from dryness and requires special care. The tighter the curl, the less protected the hair is by the cuticle layer — which is why curly hair always needs extra moisture. The silk turban is perfect for all hair types, but above all it is a must-have for curly hair.

When we choose a terry towel, we damage our hair by rubbing it against rough fabric — terry cloth only feels soft to the touch and eye. In reality, it snags on the cuticle, making the hair structure uneven, and after drying with a terry towel, hair becomes heavily charged with static, frizzy, and tangled.

For shiny, silky hair, satin silk towels are the right choice. Hair cuticles don't catch on the fabric because this type of silk has an incredible smoothness and hygroscopicity that allows it to absorb moisture without drying out or damaging the hair.
